At some point living the dream turned into working non-stop for a startup in San Francisco, and I love every minute of it. Starting as the second employee building the Livefyre community from the ground up, I have touched all aspects of the business as we continue to grow and enhance our real-time socially connected conversation engine.
My Internet days began when I was 8 when I wrote a short story, “Trapped in the World Wide Web.” From there I always used the latest technology, and in college I learned the wonderful world of social media. I concentrated my studies on how people communication using technology and created opportunities for myself to be immersed in the field.
I should have graduated college in four years, but instead I took an extra year to have some fun…which I guess is school for me. There is so much to learn. What that really means is I spent a semester in Sydney, Australia, came home to be a snowboard bum in Lake Tahoe, California, and now I’m back to the real world.
I grew up in Marin County, and I thought I wanted to try a city somewhere new after college. I went to Sydney, and loved everything about it…probably because so much reminded me of San Francisco. So now I’m back in one of the greatest cities in the world, trying to find time to explore on my bike and get back to my photographic roots.
Did I mention I’m obsessed with snowboarding?
